TMI Challenge Coins

TMI challenge coins are personally issued by the President of TMI only.  TMI coins are not to be traded or sold.  Recipients of TMI coins are graduates or instructors of TMI courses, TMI contractors, or VIPs deemed worthy of recognition.  TMI coins are not available by any other means.  Any recipient of a TMI coin should possess the coin on his person at all times and is subject to challenge (the exception being during tactical missions or training where coins are expressly not permitted).

TMI COIN CHALLENGE RULES

Any individual receiving a TMI coin is subject to challenge.  Once challenged the individual must produce a coin within 1 minute.  Any coin which was earned (not purchased) may meet the challenge.  Product vendors’ coins, and other such commemorative coins are not considered earned.  An “earned coin” is one which was presented by a department/agency/company for service, course completion, or other earned recognition.  Females who produce a Special Forces coin must have earned it by one of the 3 ways permitted.

Any coin earned which is produced by the challengee within 60 seconds of the challenge is accepted as meeting the challenge.  Coin color, metal, branch of service, issuing unit, or rank of issuing persons are irrelevant.  The coin need not be on the person being challenged, and there are no rules regarding how many steps may be taken to retrieve the coin.  Obviously, a coin may not be borrowed, as that particular coin was not earned by the individual.

When the challenge is not met, that individual must buy 1 round of drinks for everyone at the table when the challenge was issued (or in the immediate vicinity [able to hear the challenge take place], when not at a table).
