Whatever you want to call it, there are several components that make protection details successful.  TMI has the personnel with the training to provide personal security in any environment or threat level.  Professionalism and discretion are our hallmarks.  However, the real TMI advantage is that we provide DIGNITARY MEDICAL SUPPORT to each of our protectees, in addition to the protection detail.  Our comparative advantage is the provision of critical medical services following an assault, as well as stand-by, close-proximity medical support for all medical conditions.  While all protectees are at high-risk for trauma, and some protectees are known to be at high-risk with pre-existing medical conditions (cardiac, asthma, etc.), the presence of a trained tactical medic is most utilized for ordinary medical support such as treating cold & flu symptoms, ankle sprains, etc.

All TMI tactical medics who provide Dignitary Medical Support are also trained in HazMat / WMD / CBRNE support and can advise and assist the protectee and the rest of the protection detail with personal protective equipment, decontamination procedures and antidote administration.  Furthermore, TMI personnel conduct very thorough medical threat assessments for each protection detail, including planning for HazMat / WMD / CBRNE threats.

“Protectees” are not always “dignitaries”, and in fact can be witnesses.  Because TMI maintains the highest level of operational security, and employs a variety of healthcare providers including physicians from multiple specialties, it is uniquely suited to provide discrete medical services to protectees in the Federal Witness Protection Program.

In addition, TMI is capable of providing Medical High-Risk Prisoner Escort.  While mostly a function of the U.S. Marshal’s Service, anytime a prisoner with a known medical condition requires transfer / transportation, TMI is available to accompany the Deputies/Agents. This includes CONUS prisoner transfers, and OCONUS extraditiction.
